I consider myself a bit of a Clean & Clear snob. Clean & Clear has been my number one solution ever since I got acne as a teen. Back then, I essentially got to choose between about three different products, and I was honestly lucky if all three were even in stock. Now, Clean & Clear has 36 different products, and I genuinely believe that the majority of them are excellent. How could you ever be expected to pick??

We love the Clean & Clear Essentials Dual Action Moisturizer for those with acne. Even if you only get the occasional breakout, it can be a good way to stay on top of small acne spots without having to add additional steps to your skincare routine. The Clean & Clear Essentials Dual Action Moisturizer has a small amount of salicylic acid (0.5%) to help treat and prevent acne right in your moisturizer.
One thing to note about the Clean & Clear Essentials Dual Action Moisturizer is that it does not have any SPF protection, so you may need to add that to your routine as well.

Clean & Clear claims that the Advantage Acne Spot Treatment reduces size and redness of pimples in just four hours. We’re happy to report that we can agree with that claim! While the Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment may not be a daily use for you, the times that you do have to use it are an absolute life saver.
The only big drawback of the Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment is that it is extremely drying. We advise spot-testing it before you use it to learn how your skin reacts and how much is too much for you. You don’t want to shrink your pimple just to have flaking skin.

The Clean & Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser is a unique product as it merged two of our favorite things: a gentle face wash and a deep clean. When you feel how soft the cream cleanser is on your hands, you’ll be shocked that it is still able to gently exfoliate your skin.

How do I find the perfect Clean & Clear Product for me?
Clean & Clear offers an online quiz that will help you identify the best product for your specific skin type. After answering five short questions, you will be presented with a recommendation. While overall we were a fan of this recommendation, we do want to note that it never showed a full skincare routine. Even when I put my skin as “Dry Skin: Dry Skin might peel, feel rough to the touch and flake,” the Clean & Clear quiz did not recommend a moisturizer.
What is the Best Clean & Clear Face Wash?
The Clean & Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser is our absolute favorite face wash. It won our best product award of all clean and clear face washes, and it absolutely blows away the competition.

Our second favorite face wash from Clean & Clear is the Clean & Clear Aloe Vera Gentle Cleanser. The aloe vera extract makes your skin feel extremely soft and refreshed after every wash. The Clean & Clear Aloe Vera Gentle Cleanser is also free of many questionable ingredients, including parabens, sulfates, phthalates, oils, and dyes. If you are worried about your skin drying out after washing your face, the Clean & Clear Aloe Vera Gentle Cleanser is a fantastic product.
Is Clean & Clear Face Moisturizer Good?
The Clean & Clear Essentials Dual Action Moisturizer is a fantastic product. It is extremely hydrating, and it is a fantastic pick for Acne prone individuals. The Clean & Clear Essentials Dual Action Moisturizer has a small amount of salicylic acid (0.5%) to help treat and prevent acne right in your moisturizer.
We were less impressed with some of their other moisturizers, and are confident that you could find a better bang for your buck in Aveeno. We are huge fans of the Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Facial Moisturizer if you don’t need the acne control of the Clean & Clear Essentials Dual Action Moisturizer. Bonus - this moisturizer has SPF, so no need to have two separate steps in your routine!
