Which Almond Milk Creamer Will Give you the Perfect Coffee? (Sweet Creme vs. Vanilla)

Ah, almond milk. It’s had quite the come up in recent years, and there are so many options when it comes to dairy milk alternatives. Not to mention, there is so much more than just almond
milk now. There is even so much more than almond milk now. From coconut to soy to even quinoa, there’s a dairy milk alternative for just about anyone.

There are many reasons why you may consider using a non-dairy milk product. Some people use them for health reasons (like lactose intolerance), or maybe they watched one of the many tell-all YouTube videos about the dairy industry. My personal reason is that I constantly think milk has gone bad and it always smells sour to me. It’s just safer to use almond milk, which has a much longer shelf life compared to dairy milk. Don't believe us? Check out this simple milk shelf life infographic below:

This image displays three types of milk and how long they are good after being opened. It is an infographic. It states that 2% cow milk is good for 4-7 days, soy milk is good for 5-10 days, and almond milk is good for 7-10 days.,

Now, let’s combine my reasoning with my iced coffee addiction, and the perfect product for me is an almond milk creamer. Until recent years, there have not been many companies producing almond milk creamers. The only options were often a poor value compared to a standard dairy creamer. The newest almond milk creamer to hit the market is produced by Blue Diamond, one of the leaders in the all-things-almond craze..

If anyone is going to make a quality almond milk creamer, it’s Blue Diamond. Let’s just clarify that. They released a few flavors, and for today's This-or-That, we are going to decide between the two most similar: Sweet Creme and Vanilla

To test each flavor, I will make two iced coffees the exact same way (aka the only way I know how to, which is the way I make my coffee every morning.) and compare the different creamers. Stay tuned to see which creamer comes out on top!

Sweet Creme Almondmilk Creamer from Blue Diamond Review:

To be frank, this one blew me away. The texture was incredibly velvety and smooth. The taste is a rich, sweet vanilla. It’s almost like melting vanilla ice cream and pouring it into your coffee. It frothed up very nicely with my milk frother and blended easily into my cold brew. I cannot recommend this highly enough. Spoiler, it’s by far the winner.

Vanilla Almondmilk Creamer from Blue Diamond Review:

I tried the sweet creme creamer first and had very high hopes for this classic vanilla flavor. As you saw in my raving review above, the sweet creme is clearly that girl. The vanilla was much weaker by comparison. The texture and frothability were the same as the other tested option, but the sweetness and overall flavor was lackluster. Not a bad creamer by any means, just not what you should go for if you want a really nice and sweet vanilla.

Is Sweet Creme or Vanilla Almondmilk Creamer from Blue Diamond Better?

All in all, the Sweet Creme version of the Blue Diamond Almond Breeze creamer wins this round of This-or-That. Blue Diamond is currently offering $1.50 off so you can try the flavor of your choice. We will definitely be on the hunt for the caramel flavor to see how it compares to our new favorite creamer!
